Hi Paul,

to be honest.. IMHO jetstart should be perfectly adequate for your
"main" tasks as you have listed... text/email/surfing works sweet on
jetstart... the movie trailers will probably take a while longer... but
at 16k/sec you can get around 1meg every minute (1024K/16Ksec = 64sec)
or so... so you can do the math :)

as for gaming... jetstart pings are sweet... i dont bother with gaming
context coz i cant be fagged changing the router setup... i'm usually at
a good speed compared to other lpbs... from xtra to paradise CS servers
i am usually around 50-70 ping... i havent actually tried the gaming
context to see if it works any better... coz i can own at that ping...
considering i could usually do scores like 30-10 on my 56k dialup with a
160-180ping :)))

also, so far... in just over a week... i have dloaded about 5gigs of
data (5125.82megs as of 8:11am this morning)... which i calculated would
have cost me somewhere in the order of $1013.164c in extra traffic
charges alone on jetstream... in comparison... the $34.95 for jetstart
seems somewhat the better deal :)

granted... my traffic is somewhat unusual... and is not likely to be
that high everyweek... but i'm sure i'd burn 600megs in no time and
start racking up the data charges.... for a lot less money and a
sacrifice in speed.. i'm willing to queue things to dload while i'm at
work :)

cheers,
J
