p_masq_pptp is most likely a kernel module for linuxes NAT implementation that
allows ppptp to work through NAT, so that a computer inside your LAN can
terminate a pptp session from a machine on the internet somewhere. This has
very little to do with the linux box itself terminating the pptp session from
the altcatel.

Sorry i've no experience with smoothwall, so i don't know if it can easily be
made to use the pptp driver for it's internet connection.
