Yes its very possible, but you can't do it on Telecom Rented M1122 (as you
only get user access (technically its napt-user) on the Rented Ones.).

_Please_ DON'T ask me nor Telecom (or your ISP) how to do this on a Telecom
Rented one as they/I will not tell you the Method to do so (as your not
allowed as you don't own the router)

With 2230.R03 (I presume this version). I personally have not found any
serious problems with this version (worse than others)

(I presume you have a working M1122 working in NAT mode)

Log in via the Web Interface with admin password.
Go into "Service Providers"
Change Encapsulation to "Local Tunneling / PPP over ATM (tunneled-ppp-vc)
Turn off Network address/port translation (NAPT)
Turn off Stateful inspection firewall (SIF)
Turn off Reject administrative IP connections

Apply and then Save

On a Windows Box (or other OS).. Make up a new PPTP connection to the IP
Address of the router.
Make sure you have data encyption and compression off (or it will complain
and not connect)

Connect and enter the loginname/password into the connection

And you have your Real World IP Address on your Windows Box.

Doing it this way only allows 1 machine to connect only.

Thanks
