The other suggestion I have is that (esp if you have two computers... or an
external router) is to dial up at the same time as being on with DSL.. I
find this quite useful as I have both internal and external access to my IP
(internal over my LAN, I have a linux gateway that MASQs the windows box
online anyway, and external through the dialup directly from windows).
