Win2K + Terminal Services / VPN Over Jetstream

We have a remote office setup running a PPTP VPN over a Jetstream
connection at each end. Here is the basic config:
Nokia M1122 at each end. Both sites are on the same ISP (i.e:
paradise.net) and in fact running through the same exchange. Client
machine is running Win2K Professional and connects to the Win2K Server
at the other end (Both are running Service Pack 2). A VPN Connection is
established and then a Terminal Server client connection is used to
provide access to limited applications. Both connections have static IP
addresses and there are only 4 hops between connections.

The question is, (and I have seen previous posts about this sort of
problem), sometimes, i.e: once a day, Terminal Server ends the
connection and the user is required to reconnect. The VPN connection
remains in tact, so the user only needs to run the terminal server
client s/w again to connect. Has anyone come up with some solutions to
this problem?

What about configuring IPSEC instead? What about configuring Static
Routes on the Nokia M1122, has anyone had any luck with this?
