You probably have to convert the 450KBytes/s to Kbits/s in order to compare
this meaningfully to your connect speed (which is measured in Kbits/s).

So to be accurate, your real throughput is probably 450*8 = 3600kbit/s
(~3.6Mbps) on an 8Mbit/s connection. It tends to look a little better that
way.
