The larger the conductor the ( Gauge Of Wire) the further out the circuit
will work. 0.4 conductor may work at 5.0 just, have had a customer on 0.63
all the way, no change, and working at 6.5km at 3300kbps. My answer is give
it a go and try again. Multiples are a know prob also but I have got
stable circuits with 14 multiples, this does effect the speed though. This
will effect the distance from exchange.

A change of conductor size can also be a prob if it happens to often. Every
job is different!
