I am running a 3Com Homeconnect, Roaring Penguin PPPoE on Linux and an
ethernet lan to client machines. On my Amiga I have no problems with the
National Bank, but my brother on XP with IE something does have problems,
exactly as you describe.

I have the MTU clamp enabled in Roaring Penguin.

If it is intermittant, then perhaps it is just a coincidence.
