Hi,
I use the National bank online banking from many different connections,
including from where I work at an ISP (with a fast, reliable .nz connection)
and from ADSL. On Tuesday and Wednesday I normally have problems (pay day)
and often on other days of the weeks. I spoke with National bank about the
problem last year and got to someone quite techinical who said they were
working on the problems due to overloading.
Since then everything got better, and then a lot worse. Now it works maybe
50% of the time. I have tried to contact National bank and never gotten past
1st level help people. I get told to contact my ISP technical support
(myself?).
If anyone has any other idea's it would be useful, otherwise a bank change
might be in order one day.
BTW: I am very happy with National bank in every other way.
Regards,
Dave

I had identical issues with the NBNZ from late last year onwards until very
recently. I was running Windows XP, Alcatel ST Pro and JetStart. I spoke
many times to Regan (NBNZ IT Support for online banking) on 0800 804449, but
to be honest, I'm not sure they ever really got to the bottom of the
problem, because I was still experiencing intermittent problems like those
you describe right up until the beginning of this month, when I switched to
full rate JetStream. Since then everything has worked perfectly. Maybe
there is a clue here as to the cause of the problem?
Cheers,
Simon
