Hi Robin,
Thanks for the info. Is this close to the process you followed?
Install Slack8.1.
Download 2.4.19 Kernel.
Compile 2.4.19 with:
- Packet Socket
- Packet Socket: mmapped IO
- Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) (EXPERIMENTAL)
- RFC 1483/2684 Bridged protocols
- PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) Support
- PPP Deflate Compression
- PPP Over Ethernet (EXPERIMENTAL)
- PPP Over ATM (EXPERIMENTAL)
Run:
insmod -f itex1577-2.4.16.o
As far as I can tell this is all that's needed to get the module in, is
there anything else you did? PPP compiles are included in the instructions,
but these shouldn't affect the module insert.
Looks like it's probably a hardware thing anyway - I may just put Win2k back
on when I have some time.
Thanks again for the help guys.
Cheers,
Joseph
