It depends on your firmware version and what you're trying to do.
The firmware version I'm using (71205a1) has all "support" for PPTP removed.
However, older versions had an implementation of PPTP that allowed the ASUS
to form a PPTP connection to a PPTP server.
While this appeared to work, I didn't play with it long enough to see if it
was really beneficial, as what you normally want to do is have the ADSL
router support the passing through of PPTP connections, so your PC can
establish a PPTP connection to a PPTP server.
I keep hearing roomers that GRE support is to be included in a future
firmware release, but things have been pretty quiet from ASUS for sometime
now.
Having said all that, I just popped over to
http://www.nzadsl.co.nz/software/asus/Default.htm and saw that there's a
newer (than mine) version of the firmware (71205a32 dated 29th August 2002),
so it may be in there (I didn't see any release notes, though the filter
document [and functionality] is new I think)
Later'ish
