I extracted this paragraph from a UK web site. Take special note of
what it says about Microsoft VPN....
I gave up on this router supporting pptp a long time ago. It's a shame
because it's a nice unit and at a good price.

The Vi features both NAT and bridging modes. In NAT mode,
port-forwarding by individual port and by range is supported. Users with
multiple IPs, provided by their ISP, can also select bridging mode, in
which the local computers become part of the wider internet, and use the
Vi's firewall facilities to ensure security. Microsoft VPN is not
supported in NAT mode though alternate remote access protocols, which
adhere to the UDP/TCP standards, such as VNC are possible as are other
proprietary VPN Solutions.
