Hi,

I'd just like to thank everyone who replied to the posts I made asking for
help - it took a while, but I now have my gateway up and running.

It turns out that the insmod crash was due to an obscure hardware conflict
of some sort - as soon as the card and Linux drive went into another box (a
P2-300) everything ran just fine. Switching IRQs, PCI slots, removing other
cards and playing with bios settings all did nothing to get the card running
in the old system (a P1-233).

My advice to anyone thinking of running an internal ADSL modem under Linux -
if you can't get the module in, try another system before losing too much
hair trying figure out what's wrong. The strangest thing of all is that the
card ran just fine under Windows on - go figure.

Apart from the hardware issue the install was a breeze - the drivers seem
fast and stable. I just wish I'd tried the other PC sooner. :)

Happy surfing!

Joseph
