Yes, I did get this working:
I went through the settings on the web-interface again, and under
Configuration -> LAN -> IP Address, bottom of that page, there's an option
to 'Enable DNS Relay'. I've left the 'DNS Relay IP Address' set to 0.0.0.0
and everything works ok.
You can then set your computer(s) to use the routers ip address as your dns
server.
(side-note:)
Previously I had each of my lan machines each using my isps dns address,
primary & secondary. Aparently this isn't wise (should use automatic
instead) -- I was told by my helpdesk that I had been given an ip address
that hadn't changed in a week, and that I was assigned a dialup ip (even
though it resolved to an x.adsl.x address).
