Hi,

XH7916 allows access from both USB AND Ethernet ports concurrently, USB port
is a USB to Ethernet type port.

I am running Win98SE
when I enter ipconfig this is what I get
0 Ethernet adapter
I P Address 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway Blank
1 Ethernet adapter
I P Address 198.168.1. 2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.2

Yes I can ping 192.168.1.2
