Do Nokia offer replacements for the older Ni500 that suffer from the
"known" over heating and rest problems???

This is the unit that I am using, and although it is faster than the
dlink ADSL modem I have also tried, it has this problem with it always
resetting when the connection is reaching saturation.

I have located the modem in a well ventilated location, and still no
improvement.

Not really a big thing, but is getting annoying.
