I purchased one of these units back in November 2001 with the idea that
Nokia is a reputable brand and
thought would have no problems with.

Well the Ni500 would over heat and reboot itself frequently, some days it
would retrain as often as 30-40
times! I kept the logs each day from the console screen.

First call to Nokia support and they didn't want to know about it, I had to
keep pestering them, they
wanted to blame telecom for bad line quality despite the fact that we had a
technician out 3 times to
check it and found no problems.

We demanded Nokia refund our purchase price because the unit was not up to
standard and did not
perform what it was supposed to do. This dragged on and on until finally
seeking legal aid and
threatening them with court action - within a week we had received our
cheque, 6 months after the
original purchase.

If anyone has had problems with this and would like to know more about the
process I took to get
my refund, don't hesitate to contact me.

Az.
