Good on DSE. Unlike Dynalink's RTA020, remote admin is enabled (both telnet
and the web interface), with a default password. Bad. Updating the
firmware will turn off remote admin.

The first (0) ethernet adapter I presume is your unconnected dialup
connection.
The second (1) would be your adsl device. It appears to be a modem, as it
is running on your machine - your machine is your own gateway.
Do you not have a network card?
Question to the list: If you connect to a router using its USB interface (as
Cheryl must be) does it function as a router, or a modem? Isn't USB more
resource demanding than connecting to it via UTP?
