Or maybe it just proves that since every other ISP offering 'unlimited'
Jetstart was quick to introduce a traffic cap and penalty rates once Xtra
jumped first, that they've got a disproportionate number of heavy users.

Back when everyone was having a who-can-post-the-highest-traffic-count
competition here it was shown that it's easy to do 40-50Gb/month on a
128kb DSL line. Now, my ISP has followed the rest and introduced a 5c/Mb
charge on all traffic over 10Gb/month, add that to the base fee of $30,
and you have a charge of up to $230/month to use your Jetstart line
flat-out.

Compared to that, Actrix's $149/month for unlimited service doesn't seem
so bad. Though since it's guaranteed to make all but the heaviest of
users leave for cheaper ISPs, you'd have to hope they're backing up the
higher prices with more capacity.

(I'm still averaging <3Gb/month since Linux and bandwidth-wasting P2P apps
don't go together, so I won't be changing ISPs anytime soon, but people
who do want to use apps like that flat-out should at least consider it)
