Where an alarm is used on the same telephone line as an ADSL connection in
needs to be wired up in a manner so that this does not happen
I have phone fax and ADSL at my office on the same line and setting the
alarm causes no problems I sorted that out at time of the alarm installation

I am sure there are some installers in this group who could comment on that
with the correct wiring
