Note that in NZ we use PPPoA not PPPoE.

As far as your PC is concerned youre going to address your DSL device as
either an ethernet device (for routers) or a dialup tool (for USB or
Internal models).

If tis a router, and if youre plugged into it via ethernet (and the
linklights are all up at ethernet level) then assign your PC an IP in the
same subnet as the router, set the routers IP as your gateway, and you
should be away laughing...
