And dumbass that I am I didnt read the entire point of this thread. :P

The last time I recall this being queried I don't think you can actually
successfully use an m1122 as a bridge over NZ's DSL system.

Anyone whos successfully done so id definately be interested in how they
did it. The source of the problem being that with PPPoA we only get one
realworld IP address, so without running a PPTP tunnel you can't get the
connection to forward your real world IP past the router itself....
