Video conferencing works fine on the RTA220.

Seen one place with three or four windows/msn messenger 'conferences'
simultaneously running at the same time to overseas friends. That was on an
xtra+jetstart connection.

Messenger and ICQ Filetransfers however don't work "out of the box". I have
tried pinholing ("virtual server") but messenger transfers fail.

It has a good firewall and good security features. (Below is copied from the
webconfig)

------
Firewall
The firewall function is currently enabled and security level is set to
'Advanced'.
Please select the firewall to be: Off (Firewall Disabled)
  Low
  Medium
  High
  Block (All Traffic Blocked)
  Advanced (User Define)

"The firewall will not affect any virtual server you may have enabled.
Please check the virtual server configuration."
------
Intrusion Detection - Modify Rules

Please enter details for the rules:
Use Blacklist:
Use Victim Protection:
DOS Attack Block Duration:
Scan Attack Block Duration:
Victim Protection Block Duration:
Maximum TCP Open Handshaking Count:
Maximum Ping Count:
Maximum ICMP Count:
----------

(Quote from its spec-sheet)
The built in powerful "Stateful Inspection" firewall and intrusion
protection functions provide access control and prevents sensitive data on
your computer or network from unauthorised access.
