Ok then, since this list is so quiet, I'll post a problem! So there! :P
I have recently aquired what is probably the last Alcatel Speedtouch Pro available for retail sale in the whole damn country (I should know, it took me long enough to find the thing!) Anyway, all is fine and dandy (after I converted it from a Home to a Pro again - what is WITH that???) except for a (at least percieved) problem with updating the firmware.
Now I may be wrong or just plain confused about this but as far as I can tell from the firmware images on www.nzdsl.co.nz the latest Pro image is 281. What I don't know is what the characters before the .281 etc mean and why you seem to be able to have 2 identical image versions but when you upload them to the Alcatel they have different numbers in brackets after them (build numbers?). Maybe this is my problem.
I have sucessfully uploaded the following images to my STP:
However these images don't work:
I get this error when attempting to upload the last two: "Error : The software is incompatible with this board."
Could someone please educate me? (Feel free to use a large bat - I'm sure I need it :)
Looking forward to my next beating,
Sam.
