My DLink DSL500 performed fine even where my connect rate was fluctuating
between 1.2mbit and 1.8mbit (Telecom want you to have 2mbit before theyll
even guaruntee DSL will work)...

The problem was eventually attributed to my flatmates burglar alarm system..

Ive not yet heard bad things about their signal situation although theres
the ASAM compatibility issue to be slightly concerned about; There are
fixes available. I still consider them good value.

Mark.
