So the STP is capable of becoming a PPTP 'server'? What parameters would I use on either end to set this sort of thing up?

Well, I guess the end result is theoretically still the same, but with Spoofing, the Modem is making the layer 2 connection, dialing and making a Layer 3 connection, but with Bridging the modem is basically acting as a protocol translation device (Layer 2) while the router is making the layer 3 connection. Is that correct?

Well, even though I have opened some external ports on the router on the PAT config page, I can't connect to any services inside. I also can't ping the router's external address from the outside even though I have turned on the 'respond to pings on external interface' option on the router and I can ping the external address from inside the network (not a very good test I know, but all I can do at the moment).

Does anyone know if there is any way to do PPPoA dialing from a PC, or to get the Netgear to do PPPoA dialing?
