Hi Mike,

You won't be able to test this from your local LAN due to how NAT works.
However, you have done everything you need to, so assuming your Mac has its
gateway set to the router it should work from anywhere on the real world.

While on the DSL-500/504 subject, can anyone point me to instructions for
configuring a DSL-504 for incoming ssh access (hosted on Mac OS X). (Can I
test ssh access from inside the LAN out to the WAN, and back through the
router?. ssh'ing to the local address (from the LAN) works fine).

I have created a pinhole and believe everything should be OK but I still
get "ssh: connect to address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 22: Connection refused
"

All other required protocols (needed) work OK.
