Hi All

Sorry if this kind of query is off track for this mailing list, but
here goes...

I had an adsl connection for a period of time on my home computer
(which runs windows ME), then went back to dial-up for a while to save
money. Became fed up with dial-up so arranged for adsl to be reinstated
(via Xtra) on Monday of this week. However, whenever I try to dial in,
the computer crashes (goes to the blue screen) with the following msg,

"An exception 0E has occurred @ 0028:C175249 in VxD ... This was called
from 0028:C00ID218 in VxD N DIS (01) + 00005B30. It may be possible to
continue normally." Press any key to return to windows, etc... which I
have done, but once back on the windows screen everything is frozen.

I wonder if anyone has any idea what may be causing this as it's most
frustrating. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the modem
drivers, etc, but still no luck. (I have a Nokia Ni200) I have a
firewall and also keep my virus patches up to date ... I'm considering
reinstalling my OS but don't want to go that far if it will be a waste
of time!

Any suggestions/advice/comments, appreciated.

Cheers
Jane
