Procmail doesn't have functions, the only way around it is to use
INCLUDERC=. It's also handy to move things to separate files when your
.procmailrc would be 6000 lines, and it's easier for sharing ;)

Yes, you can replace INCLUDERC= with the content of the file. In that
case, you could even strip a few lines out (the ones testing for whether
LISTFOLDER is set) if you can be bothered, but from a processing speed
point of view you;d be wasting your time, procmail is extremely
efficient.

I can relate to that ;)

I am seriously considering turning Paradise's mail filter back on (the
filter itself may be ok, just the way they implemented it is, eh, not
so useful).

No. It also calls no external programs (e.g. test, sed). Remember to
set the TAB variable to one TAB character - this is needed all the
time, so the place to do it is near the top of .procmailrc where you
set your constants. If you can't set TAB characters, set the variable
to an empty string, but you'll miss tabs as white space (unlikely to be
used, but I put it in as advance measure).

I assume you are for some reason (e.g. ISP) prevented from creating more
files than .procmailrc, because if not, you really are better to just
include the file.

That filter missed 3 of 98 today, those 3 got stuck in spamassassin.
Fixed now. I usually start with very specific filter criteria, moving
to more general rules. Safer.

And yes, the anatomy enlargers pale against the viral onslaught.

HTH,

Volker
