No it would not cos it would mean that I give away any control of my mail
and allow someone else to decide what is legit mail and what it not. There
is heaps of research into the effectiveness of generic spam and virus filtering
and it comes up with about 10 to 20% false positives - i.e., they delete 10-20%
of the mail that people want.

It does not affect the main problem and that is that this much mail is being
generated that is unwanted. The latest figures for SPAM are about 40% of
all e-mails and there are 31 billion e-mails a day sent. That is 12 billion SPAM
a day - add to that the viruses that are sent and you see that the problem needs
a solution other than the end user saying "it was filtered before I got it so it is
not a problem".
