Woosh

I got a woosh flyer in the mail, they've dropped their modem price to $200 and
have free installation until Dec 31. They also have a 30 day money back
gurantee. At this price it's looking quite tempting.

I rang telecom, navigated the phone tree, their only internet option was for
xtra internet, so I choose other products. I talked with someone who didn't
know what woosh was and put me through to xtra as soon as she heard internet.

As the girl at xtra read out their plans, I pointed out their deficencies
compared to Woosh and she agreed. Apparently they have new plans coming out,
she put me on hold for half a minute or so to find out when they were coming
out, and when she came back, she found that they don't have a date.

I told her that they are likely to loose a customer (although I'm not an Xtra
customer, by putting me through to her, the first telecom girl implied Xtra
speak for Telecom. I'm not impressed that telcom have no internet sales
representitives).

So, is this the right forum for discussing Woosh from a technical point of
view? Can I get the IP on my server like I do with the 3com PPPoE solution?
Can Woosh increase their speeds, or is 256kb/s the top speed of the
technology? If they fold, can I use the modem with anyone else? If I move
house, do I have to pay to "roam" (I ask because during the launch there was
something called free roaming, and I can only assume this means you can move
without it?).
