The Cable inst included in the package, because they expect that Joe User
will be perfectly happy with the USB one provided. They offer very limited
support for people who use routers to share the connection - although the
higher level tech guys I had to speak to had a few clues.

When I first got the modem, my latency was running at 300ms+ to the
www.woosh.co.nz site and to their DNS servers. It has 'settled down' to
about 210-250ms for the Woosh site. Gaming is impossible, its virtually
worse than 56k. This latency does affect webbrowsing to some extent I think,
because compared to Jetstart, loading local pages is a noticeably slower
(international is about the same), while even off shore downloads are very
quick.

So why isn't the cable included in the package?

What sort of latency are we talking about? I'm not a gamer so I'm not sure
that this will be significant problem.
