I like your thinking...

To be fair the person in sales that I spoke to did say that they were looking
at policy changes early next year.

It would be nice to think that I could get to someone high enough up quickly
to sign off on making a special effort (arrangement) - frankly I don't like
my chances. I have extensive experience in dealing with Telstra in Australia
and know that it's a very very very time consuming exercise.

If someone is reading this list who does have the immediate points of contact
to move this along then I'd be happy to roll with that.

If Telstra wanted to privide some free testing time that would also be very
kewl... thou to be honest if they went to the effort of getting me on the
service that they have (based on how I understand it works at present) I'd be
happy to pay the listed prices and set up a few other little things to
hopefully make it pay for it self to save us both the expence of removing it
later.

Bottom line on this issue is that I need a second 'internet live' data
connection to test what I'm doing and I need it before 'some time next
quarter'...

At present I'm really strugling with other parts of the project (as I'm
trying to do it with linux, being a native MS man I could have had this done
in Windows about 3 times over by now but I don't think Windows is going to be
able to deliver long term what we want to do).

Because I'm strugling with Linux I'm less inclined to frustrate my self with
dealing with Telstra (I spent 3 years doing that in Australia and it didn't
bring me much return in the end - well not so far anyway :)

Cheers DiG
