I'm 4.5km out and my Zyxel Prestige 642R is excellent. I found with the
standard g.dmt that my ASDL would drop often and I suffered from heavy
packet loss. After switching to g.lite as my line mode I connect at a low
speed (600k) but my line is rock solid and the latency is much lower and the
packet loss is non-existant. I had heard word from another user that the
Zyxel Prestige 642R was very good, however they can be difficult to find.
