Don't use this or any DSL in NZ. But a few questions. Is your router (and the XP client) actually connecting? If it is connecting but is you are unable to send or receive data it's a diff matter from if your router (and XP client) is not connecting at all.

Anyway from this page http://www.clear.net.nz/help/technical.html#adslconfig, I would suggest you try VC/MUX instead of LLC and see if that helps. It's not really clear what they recommend you use for router style configs other then PPPOE.

Also, make sure you have set up the Speedtouch to (full) bridge not half bridge mode.
