telecom broadband plan changes?

if the press release at:

is accurate, i want to congratulate Telecom on finding a good balance
between speed and pricing.

this is the first time i've seen the policy of reducing speed once the
cap is reached (the flat-rate plan), and it strikes me as the best
compromise for that kind of situation. as opposed to thousand dollar
bills...

i wonder what telstraclear will propose to counter this, as i can't see
myself moving off a flat-rate plan :)
