I had a similar problem with my cordless phone, the Panasonic
KX-TG2650NZN . This is a relatively new, 2.4ghz digital spread spectrum
phone. This was about a year ago and I don't recall if we ever resolved
it, but there were no problems using the phone with a full install.
However, I moved at my next place we just used a splitter and the phone
ended up being unusable due to noise on the line. It's interesting to
hear that it wasn't just me with that problem.
The modem used was a D-Link DSL-500 but it seems that the problem is
with the phone, not the modem.
