Hi Sam,

In the new 500 series routers, all NAT operations can be done through the
GUI.
The latest firmware also has UPnP ability, so depending on the software some
ports can be open/closed dynamically.

Any enquiries regarding the Alcatel/Thomson Products can be directed to 0800
2522 835 - option 2, or Support@connectplay.co.nz

Thanks,
Brent

Subject: Thomson Speedtouch 5x0 ADSL Modems

Hey again everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with port management on a Thomson Speedtouch
5x0 modem?

What I'm wanting to know is, have they improved the interface so that
opening/closing incoming/outgoing ports is easier, or do you still have to
do all this via the command line?

Thanks,

Sam.
