highly unlikely, I've had an m1122 working quite happily with SIP

you may want to do a packet debug on your sip server or at your gateway
point and ensure that you are registering with the right IP address.

Have you checked that you have pinholled the right ports and reseerved a
range for RTP ?

It appears to either be a PEBKAC error or a problem with your SIP client.
