hi

I have done this recently with both a normal Jetstream connection and
connecting to a VPN for the same reasons, i.e. test before visit to remote
office. I did have problems the first time I tested with a D-Link or
Dynalink DSL router, but not since.

I support Neil suggestion. Also Jetstream have a 0800 help desk, if with
Xtra they will connect you.

cheers
Malcolm

I hate to do this to you, but this question is probably best answered by the
Xtra Helpdesk... Or your ISP helpdesk if you're not with Xtra. I'm sure
people here might know, but there's a nice 0800 number available and your
question is entirely reasonable.

FWIW, I have done what you're trying to do in the past and I think it worked
- but it's been so long since I tried it I can't be authoritive.

Cheers - N

Hi All

I have what used be called Jetstart DSL at home (128K). My work recently
decided to connect one of our remote offices via VPN over a full speed DSL
connection. After spending some time configuring the Cisco 837 DSL router
at work, I decided to take it home for the weekend to make sure I had it all
up and running before making the trip to our remote site to install it.

I assumed I would just be able to unplug my router (Nokia M1122) and plug
this one in and make sure it all works. Well it didn't.

Plugging my router back in and changing my Jetstart credentials for the
remote sites full Xtra Jetstream credentials does not work either.

Now I assumed that because I can log onto the Jetstream games realm at full
DSL speed that there should be no problem me testing this router & account
on my DSL line at home. Could anyone tell me if I should be able to do this
before I waste me weekend trying to work out the problem.

Thanks for your time and suggestions.
Philip chapman.
