Hi everyone,

I am having some trouble with my NetGear WGR614 router/firewall.

Firstly, I can't seem to open any incoming ports for use with UDP. When
configuring port forwarding on the router, there is no option to specify
whether the port is for TCP or UDP, and even if I enter a port number that I
want to use for UDP traffic, no UDP traffic is passed through on that port.

However, I am getting UDP 137 packets passed through the router to my LAN.
This seems to be some sort of port scan by other Internet hosts. I cannot
black-hole UDP port 137 traffic by specifying a non-existent host using port
forwarding on the router, the scans continue.

Has anyone with a NetGear router/firewall had any experience with managing
UDP traffic, either successful or unsuccessful?
