I'm sending this to broadband and adsl-chat (OT for ADSL I think...)

There is little reason for a separate list these days, now that we're
far past the "teething" problems of the original jetstream. Most ISPs
are providing better support, documentation accompanying new products
and services is far superior to the documentation we received in the
early days. The amount of "technical" traffic that we see is greatly
reduced (by the looks of the size of 2000/2001 archives at any rate)

I consider the need for two lists, a broadband-tech/broadband-support
and broadband-chat list. Tech for announcements of drivers, problems
and chat for discussion of new products and services.

It appears to me that few people read the "list traffic is to be
restricted to technical matters only..." statement on the list page so
by naming it as a support or tech list that might make things a bit
better.

My 2c.
