Sounds like you might be in the same boat as me, billing period ends
on the 2nd or 4th of the month. As most others I was informed in
advance that I'd be shifted up to 2mbps, and I was quite looking
forward to it, so on the day, when I was still at 256kbps, I phoned
Telecom to see what was what, they confirmed I'd be upgraded but told
me it might not happen until midnight.

Needless to say, they didn't do it, and after talking to them a couple
of times, I was told to talk to my ISP -- please! what has my ISP got
to do with THIS?

Quicksilver, being as wonderful as ever -- it sure is nice dealing
with humans again after escaping from whatever it was that ihug
morphed into -- leapt into action for me and did some Telecom
wrangling, turns out the provisioning team at Telecom had "forgotten"
to upgrade me (what do they use, post it notes?!), and refused to do
it for me after confirming they'd messed up, instead making me wait
until my NEXT billing cycle. You what?

Whatever, after a polite complaint Telecom gave me a one month credit,
so while I'm still disappointed, I'm no longer disgruntled.

I suggest you call them up, worse comes to worst you know when you're
really getting upgraded -- and who knows, maybe you can get a credit
as well? :D
