Unfortunately you're a bit behind the times... it has been reasonably
widely published that Telecom was going to start capping the DSL line
speeds based on what plan you're on, (there is a press release on the
Telecom website even) instead of letting it connect at the full potential
DSL line speed for your line. Check the archives for this mailing list and
you'll find plenty of references to it, and comments from people on UBS who
have already had their DSL line rate capped to 320Kbit.
