One thing to be aware of here is that if you're equipment is faulty
(eg. Router or line filters) and causing this problem then Telecom
will charge you $82 for the visit. Hopefully Telecom or Orcon have
already warned you of this.
If you're concerned by this then I'd advise testing your connection
first of all with no line filters or phones plugged in, followed by
testing with a seperate, working ADSL Router.
Another thing is, that PPP issues like what you are having, can often
be fixed by 'resetting your port on the exchange'. What this actually
means I don't know, but the JS helpdesk do that for us a lot.
