Thanks to you guys on the list for the helpful responses on this.

It sounds like there's no known problems with the solution, and it's a
matter of finding the right router/software combo (or just getting the
setup correct).

This makes me sleep a little easier. If DynDNS doesn't work, there's
No-IP to try. Life should be all good with this, and I'll have a
little play.
