Heh, and I'm on XTRA and am seeing these terrible performance issues. My
RealPlayer program keeps popping up every now and then to inform me that it
appears my connection has been changed and that now I am using a 56K modem etc...

I was under the impression that the 2Mbit plan that was advertised was
actually a 2Mbit plan, but it seems that's only for national. I probably
wouldn't mind if the product was advertised as 2Mbit national and 33.6K
international! :D

Ah well, what do you do?

You know there was that thing with detergent or something where people were
consistently getting less per bottle than was claimed? I reckon you'd be hard
pressed to find many in a group of 1000 people getting anywhere near claimed
rates from their connections.

It would be interesting to see what the average connection speed you actually
get on a 2Mbit connection is.

Anyone up for hosting a download speed test combined with php/database for
storing location details etc?

I'm assuming it would make for a nice story!

:D
