Re Weird letter from Clear?

I'm not sure that this is factually correct.

I have just relayed a message through smtp.xtra.co.nz from an Xtra
dial-up connection, which was sent from and addressed to, a domain
that is nothing to do with Xtra, and in no way associated with the
account it was sent from.

Even better, I did it by hand, talking raw SMTP, and here is the
transcript to prove it:

I can confirm that I then received this message (relayed through
