Isn't Telecom Fiji basically a subsidiary of Telecom NZ? (I could be way
out there, but I seem to recall they at least had very close ties).

I can understand the expense though, since any overhead lines must get wiped
out at least yearly thanks to cyclones and such.

Just my 2c.
