Well, as an exact example of this, I do VoIP services, and do not even bother
with the New Zealand market because of the crap we have here, host my website
in USA, and am leaving for Italy again in 2 weeks, because my work schedule is
 delayed too much here because of net issues.

I am also CEO of three companies for which the other shareholders are all
based outside of New Zealand. While NZ is great for doing business in (#1 in
the OECD recently for ease of doing business), the lack of proper internet
pretty much rules it out.

All of the companies were happy to spend the money they are making here, but
with these issues they will close the New Zealand offices.

Not that I care, I get money either way, but I kinda had a strong pride for NZ
which could have brought lots of money into the economy.

I'm beyond complaining though...I tried it here a couple of times last year
and was flamed (there's categories on this list and it just put me in the
complaining bin) so hey, what do you do.

RIP NZ economy.
